Three pitchers combined to shut down the high-powered Panther offense, which came into the title game after averaging 14 runs per game during Pool Play. The Ferrets (4-0) put together a solid rally that broke open a tie game with three runs in the second. The first three batters all walked, as Miguel Villafane, Wilfred Morin and Andrew Pearl all drew free passes that loaded up the bases. Palm Beach then executed offensively, as Tyler Bean delivered a sac-fly RBI and Chris Trop followed by getting the ball on the ground for a 6-3 RBI ground out. A passed ball then allowed Pearl to also score to make it a 4-1 lead.

Palm Beach got out in front with the lead in the bottom of the first. Penta walked, advanced on a wild pitch, stole third and then scored thanks to a sac-fly RBI from Ramesley Estime’.

The Panthers (2-1-1) answered right back with their first run in the top of the second. Blake Brookins was hit by a pitch, advanced to second on a balk and then to third behind a wild pitch, before Ivan Rodriguez delivered an RBI single that evened things back up.
